What is QA? And who we are?
Quality Assurance in Knowledge University rely on tools that help the assessment team to record evidence, this system leads to certain accuracy to make judgment and then to write the report in its final form. Philosophy and methodology proposed in this report focuses on the experiences of assessors and competencies in the assessment and ensure the quality of the institution in addition to the commitment to quality control system and its manual and follow the standards and then use the assessment toolkit. The multiplicity of tools and methods used to help take on the accuracy of the verdicts, as well as discussions and exchange of views between members of the team calendar, but it all depends on the experience, skill and understanding of the team. Assessment tools require the use of two methods of evaluation methods. The first method is Qualitative Assessment and the other is Quantitative Assessment.
It is the using of tools and methods, including discussions, interviews, observations, analyzing of records, case studies, measurements, questionnaires and others. In the light of information, data and evidences collected by the team members have to be summarized, the results and the verdicts shows the quality of the performance of the institution. The focus here is on the quality of inputs, processes and outputs.
In this method, team members are focusing on the development of the verdicts in a digital form and be careful with the elements of the performance of the university in terms of the quantity of each, separately, and thus focus attention on the quality of inputs, processes and outputs. The integration between the two modes (qualitative and quantitative) and following the standards established in the evidence and the use of tools and group discussions illustrate the final verdicts for the university in terms of the quality of their performance and the possibility of access to quality assurance .
The Quality Assurance Team play a strategic role in implementing best practices to achieve positive outcomes for the Students and Alumni. Academic qualifications of the highest quality require fits the purpose, effective management and employability of graduates, standardization of procedures and innovative teaching, learning and community engagements to keep the University competitive and sustainable in globalized education area.
The Quality Assurance Team promotes effective and efficient service delivery at Knowledge University by applying expertise and knowledge in the areas of organizational development, program evaluation, process and practice improvement, as well as by optimizing technology and resources. Quality Assurance Directorate: the structure of Knowledge University contains Three Units:
A- Administration Quality Assurance:
The quality assurance Administration unit is responsibility is to evaluate the performance of employees and managers in the job work within the university and follow up their work through the development of a work plan and commitment as follows:
1- Evaluate of the employee's profile in terms of confirming his academic certificates and the training courses he/she joined, which must match his administrative function at the university.
2- Encouraging the training and development of the employee in the field of his work as well as the creativity through the imposition of training courses.
3- Evaluation of the performance of the employee for his work and filled by his/her manager.
4- Evaluate work of the managers and staff members of the units (IT, Health and Safety of the University, Registration and Documentation, Human Resources, Library).
5- Student needs from the university such as the student services.
6- Evaluate the job performance of the University Presidency, Deans, Head of Departments, and Head of directorates.
B- Academic Quality Assurance Unit:
Teachers are the most important learning resource available to most students. Teaching staff should give opportunities to develop and extend their teaching capacity and should be encouraged to value their skills.

1- Checking and evaluating the audit of the annual plan for scientific departments and colleges.
2- Request the writing of the course book and check it with the course syllabus of the department.
3- Audit TAP e-system on the university website in terms of scientific certificates and biography and matching the competence of the Teacher with the subject he/she teaches.
4- Checking and encouraging the Teachers to participate in the seminars, the Work Shop and the Conferences.
5- Checking the Scientific Research and Articles with Google Scholar Citation.
6- Evaluate the Teacher scientific performance through TF and CAD.
7- Checking the course book and the textbooks prepared by the Teacher for the courses.
8- Student feedback for both the Teaching performance of the Subject and the Course Methodology
9- Evaluation of teaching performance through the Head of Department.
10- Evaluation of the performance of the Head of the Academic Department through Teaching Staff and Dean of the College
11- Evaluation of Dean of the College for the academic performance through the Head of Departments.
C- Statistical Unit:
1. To provide the necessary data and information for the Center and the University in general about all processes and academic and administrative procedures to facilitate the decision-making process.
2. Contribute to building, updating and maintaining a central database for the University on a regular basis.
3. Provide information to policymakers and decision-makers.
4. Building a database of integrated data in the college and its units.
5. Provide the various agencies with the information and statistical data they need.
6. Preparation of the annual statistical report of the teaching staff in terms of certificate and in terms of scientific title.
7. Preparation of the annual report on the proportions of students with professors according to the instructions of the Ministry of Kurdistan Region of Iraq (Instructions No. 3).
8. Preparing a statistical report on the students in terms of admission plan from the scientific, literary and commercial studies and the Institute.
9. Preparation of a special statement showing the vital centers and laboratory names at the university.
10. Preparing an annual report showing the areas of buildings, green areas, playgrounds and cafeteria.
11. Preparation of an annual report on the area of classrooms and the number and absorption of the academic year in all sections of the university.

3- Checking of the preparation of the permanent teaching staff and the partial contract.
4- Auditing the student database and admission requirements.
5- Checking curriculum in terms of curriculum development plans, updating and accreditation / global educational systems.
6- Checking the conditions of opening the new scientific sections and their conformity with the requirements of educational quality.
7- Checking scientific labs and the quality of lab equipment, match the scientific experiments of the scientific curriculum for the courses.
8- Audit of the text and methodological books.
9- Checking of the college scientific achievement through scientific visits to the classrooms by the Deans and quality assurance.
10- Measurement of the examination time and success rates for each (course, stage, department, college).
11- Auditing all scientific activities, cultural, artistic, and sports that have an impact on the assessment of the performance of the university and the University Ranking.
12- Evaluation of Academic Performance of the College in terms of Curricula, Teaching Hours by an External Academic Evaluator.
13- Discussing the scientific plan of the departments like (graduate research, visits and scientific locations and places, summer training, and student exams).
